Mykelti Brown Padron, a 26-year-old Sister Wives star, expressed her doubts that her father, Kody Brown, would marry another wife after splitting from former wives Meri Brown, Christine Brown, and Janelle Brown.
Mykelti’s husband, Antonio “Tony” Padron, said he was “pretty 100 percent sure” that Kody would not remarry.
Mykelti explained that she believes Kody is done with his polygamous lifestyle. Kody and Mykelti’s mothers are no longer part of the religion that promoted it.
The Apostolic United Brethren, the faith they grew up in, is where the polygamy base of religion and Mormonism originated.
Mykelti’s Parents Are No Longer Active In The Church
Mykelti stated that her parents are no longer active in the church or its beliefs. Kody is only married to his fourth wife, Robyn Brown. His relationships with his other wives have ended in recent years.
Christine was the first wife to leave the plural marriage. She cited that they had “grown apart” but would still co-parent their children and support their families.
Meri formally revealed her separation from Kody. Janelle and Kody also announced their breakup during a Sister Wives special.
Kody has suspicions about continuing polygamy amid turmoil with his marriages, stating that it has caused him to question the lifestyle.
