September 10, 2024

Transcript

The UNESCO Global Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications Concerning Higher Education has now been formally ratified by 30 countries around the world, signaling a landmark moment in international cooperation between higher education systems and institutions. This international UN treaty is the first of its kind to address higher education in the UN system, fulfilling a longstanding objective of promoting peace and international understanding through higher education and the recognition of studies, diplomas, degrees, and scholarly exchange. Recognizing the current and pending implications for the Convention, CHEA/CIQG’s fall webinar brings together both the architects of the Convention and current implementing nations to share their institutional and national perspectives.
